The Campo Maior Solidário Project aims to fight poverty, involving the entire community, using existing resources, eliminating overlapping interventions and expediting the different services such as Social Kitchen, Social Holidays, Social Laundry, Social Grocery Store, Social Help Desk, “Being Parents” Training, Mobile, Culture and Tradition Workshop. This project employs the social economy and a solidarity currency – the “Mayor” – that enables all Campo Maior residents to trade goods and services, provided they contribute with something in exchange.
