The EDP Foundation pursues a series of initiatives aimed at promoting energy literacy and efficiency among the third sector and among families in a context of socio-economic vulnerability.
Several of these initiatives have been operationalised under the ‘Efficiency at Home’ project, developed in partnership with Entrajuda since 2022. Under the auspices of this project, the EDP Foundation has supported the training of technicians from social institutions to support families in their energy consumption decisions and in accessing social support, mitigating situations of energy precariousness and access to social support in this area. In addition to face-to-face training sessions, the two institutions collaborated in the creation of specialised resources, including a portal (https://www.energetico-social.pt/) and digital and printed manuals.
Around 66,000 people had been reached by this project by the end of 2023.
